Mission Statement  

Our mission, with the support of the community, is to develop progressive teaching and learning cooperative environment, that is academically, socially, physically and emotionally stimulating where "failure is not an option."   This will provide students the opportunity to achieve at their maximum learning abilities which can lead to productive and fulfilling lives in a rapidly changing technological, global society.  Our mission is to produce lifelong learners and responsible citizens through high expectations for academic achievement within a caring school community, which incorporates strategies designed to shrink the every growing achievement gap.  Our mission is to expand our students' mental, physical and civic capacity by maintaining an environment that fosters academic excellence, maturity, responsibility, and mutual respect.

 

 

  About The School  

Francis Marion High School

Francis Marion High School opened its doors in our current location in 1963.  Up until that time it was Perry County High School.

We are named after the Revolutionary War Hero, Francis Marion - better known as "The Swamp Fox."
