Mrs. Angelica Davis is a native of Selma, AL. She is a dedicated educator with a passion for fostering students' interest in education and building capacity in teachers. Mrs. Davis has made significant contributions to various school districts throughout her career with a strong background in elementary education and instructional leadership.

Mrs. Davis holds a Master of Science in Instructional Leadership. She also holds an Education Specialist, Masters, and Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, all earned from Alabama State University in Montgomery. She displays a commitment to continuous learning as she is currently researching Doctoral studies opportunities in Curriculum and Instruction.

Mrs. Davis’s professional journey has seen her assume roles of increasing responsibility. As an Assistant Principal at Francis Marion School, Marion, AL and School of Discovery, Selma, AL, she played a pivotal role in the overall administration of these institutions, including stepping in as principal in the absence of the leader. She excelled in assisting with managing daily operations and providing support to teachers. As a Mentor Teacher at Hayes K-8 School, she supported and guided early-career teachers in effective instructional techniques at her school. Mrs. Davis also served as Leader Teacher as her team was selected Elementary Team of the Year for the 2021-2022 school year. Her contributions extended beyond the classroom no matter where she served. Mrs. Davis actively participated in interviewing prospective teachers as an Interview Panel Member at Fitzpatrick Elementary. With her strong leadership skills, Mrs. Davis has been involved in various leadership and committee roles, such as being a Leadership Team Member and Budget Committee Member at Knox Elementary and a facilitator at the Selma City Schools District Summer Conference 2016. Mrs. Davis demonstrated great potential for a thriving profession during her initial year as an educator at Evergreen Elementary School. She accomplished the district's mandate of ensuring that every student under her tutelage achieved mastery of grade-level standards, with 80% or higher proficiency in both reading and math.

Throughout her career, Mrs. Davis has consistently demonstrated a commitment to educational excellence and student success. Her passion for inspiring young minds, coupled with her strong instructional leadership abilities, make her a valuable asset to any educational institution.
