Children must be Alabama residents and 4 years old on or before September 1, 2025. Children eligible for kindergarten are not eligible for Pre-K.

Required documents include a birth certificate, proof of residence, and immunization record.

Francis Marion School – 12 Days of Holiday Magic (December 2025)

Francis Marion School will celebrate 12 Days of Holiday Magic throughout December. Students and staff are invited to join in the fun by participating in the daily themed spirit days listed below:

December 4 – “Holly Jolly Christmas”: Wear your favorite holiday colors.

December 5 – “Stockings Were Hung with Care”: Wear holiday socks.

December 8 – “Jingle All the Way”: Wear jingle bells.

December 9 – “Candy Cane Day”: Wear red and white.

December 10 – “Channel Your Flannel”: Wear your favorite flannel or plaid.

December 11 – “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree”: Dress like a present.

December 12 – “Christmas Movie Day”: Dress as a character from a Christmas movie.

December 15 – “Ugly Sweater Day”: Wear your ugly holiday sweater.

December 16 – “Shine Bright for Christmas”: Wear Christmas lights or holiday bling.

December 17 – “Grinch Day”: Dress in green.

December 18 – “Tree Topper Day”: Wear a Christmas hat, elf ears, or reindeer antlers.

December 19 – “’Twas the Night Before Christmas Break”: Wear school-appropriate Christmas pajamas.

The Perry County Schools Pre-K team is excited to attend the Alabama Early Childhood Education Conference, themed “Playology Revolution: Transforming Learning One Joyful Step at a Time,” October 28–30, 2025, at the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex (BJCC) in Birmingham, AL. This annual gathering brings together thousands of early childhood educators, administrators, policymakers, and advocates from across the state to explore the importance of play in early learning through research-based and innovative sessions.
