Francis Marion School Homecoming 2025



The Lady Rams defeated the Breakthrough Broncos yet again on the volleyball court to end their regular season. The postseason begins October 15th with the area tournament at Billingsley Highschool. They will face off against Maplesville at 2:30PM, followed by the championship game at 4PM.

Today, we recognize and celebrate the dedicated custodians of Perry County School District!
Each day, our custodians work hard to create safe, clean, and welcoming learning environments for students, staff, and families. Their efforts may often go unseen, but the difference they make is felt by everyone.

October is Dyslexia Awareness Month-
Perry County Schools celebrates Dyslexia Awareness Month! Dyslexia affects many students, but with support and the right strategies, every child can succeed. Let’s raise awareness, support learners, and promote early intervention!

The Lady Rams celebrated Senior Night with another victory over Dallas County! Nakeyla Anderson, Hannah Allen, and Chevion Flowers will be missed next season, but this season is hopefully far from over. The Rams take on Breakthrough Charter away on Saturday at 3PM in their last regular season match up before beginning their postseason run. Let's Go Rams!!

Francis Marion School will hold a Virtual Title I Parent Meeting today, September 30, 2025, at 4:30 PM.

We sincerely thank Cahaba Medical Care - Marion for taking the time to provide health screenings for our Pre-K students at Francis Marion and R.C. Hatch. Your care and support mean so much in helping our students stay healthy and ready to learn.



Perry County School District held a Professional Development Day filled with valuable learning opportunities for our staff. The day began with EL Training presented by Christina Thurman from ALSDE. The second session was led by Lindsey Cohn from American Book Company, who introduced the Coursewave Online Assessment Tool designed to help prepare our 2nd–8th grade students for the upcoming ACAP assessment. The final session was Helping Families Initiative’s Student-Centered Mental and Emotional Health Seminar , presented by the District Attorney’s Office of the 4th Judicial Circuit. We are grateful to all of our presenters for providing meaningful training and resources to support our schools and students.







On September 23, the Lady Rams Volleyball Team defeated Dallas County! Don’t miss the last home volleyball game on September 30 as they face Dallas County again for Senior Night. The game starts at 5:00 p.m.—come out and show your support!

Francis Marion has received a Power to Play grant from Alabama Power in support of sports and the arts. This year’s focus was on the arts, resulting in the band program being awarded $2,500 to assist with purchasing new instruments and equipment.
We are grateful for this partnership and excited to see how this support will help our students shine through music!

Francis Marion celebrated #WhyApplyDay on Friday, September 19, 2025, kicking off the excitement for Free College Application Week, October 6–10, 2025.
It is our goal that every senior in Perry County Schools will take advantage of this opportunity and apply to college.

Perry County Schools will be closed on Friday, September 26, 2025, for a Professional Development Day for teachers and staff. No classes will be held for students.
