Mr. Rodney Pelt spoke to the 10th, 11th, and 12th graders at Francis Marion High School and R.C. Hatch High School. At Francis Marion, students engaged in a powerful discussion about “seeing beyond the trees”—encouraging them to look past their immediate surroundings and explore the boundless possibilities life has to offer. After leaving Francis Marion, he connected with the 10th, 11th, and 12th graders at R.C. Hatch High School. His message there was clear: “Don’t allow others to write your life story for you.” Every student has the power to shape their own narrative! Thank you, Mr. Pelt, for inspiring our students with such motivating words and reminding them that their future is in their own hands.

On Tuesday, August 26, seniors from R.C. Hatch High School and Francis Marion School had the exciting opportunity to tour the campus of Alabama A&M University. Students were able to explore the beautiful campus, visit academic buildings, and learn about the wide range of programs and student services offered. The tour gave them a glimpse into life at a Historically Black College and University (HBCU) and encouraged them to start envisioning their own futures in higher education. We are proud of our seniors for taking this important step toward preparing for life after high school and grateful to Alabama A&M University for hosting and inspiring them!
